The Pipeline

When you upload footage to Zonic, three things happen in parallel:

1. Transcription:* every spoken word is transcribed with timestamps
2. Scene detection:* shot boundaries are detected using visual similarity
3. Embedding:* each scene is embedded for semantic search

The Cut Decision

Zonic scores each segment using the transcription and scene embeddings. Segments with high information density and low overlap with other segments are kept. The scoring is tunable by prompt, so you can tell Zonic to prioritize action, dialogue, or b-roll depending on what you're making.

Export

The final cut plan is serialized into a Premiere Pro .prproj file. Open it in Premiere and you'll see your timeline pre-populated with the rough cut, ready to refine.
